Kodar Trail This trail is used to train dogs to become sled dogs. It is a short 10 mile trail across an open meadow. The markers are two groups of trees one group at either end of the race. The trail is wide enough to have many people come here at the same time to race. A small prize of $100 is given to the first place winner. Second place gets $75, while third place gets $50. All other entrants get a prize of $10 for entering. |

Tudun Canyon Pass This race is a bit longer than the Kodar Trail, being 25 miles long. You start off in the same meadows as Kodar but instead of heading toward the trees at the other end you head toward Tudun Canyon. The trail takes you through the canyon and to a small lake, Talula Lake. The canyon itself is so narrow it is only safe for two sled teams to race at a time. If you manage to get first place you will take home a $250 prize. Second place leaves you with only $100. |
